My name is Chin Xin Yi (Joey). I am currently a degree student who studies at YPC International College with Liverpool John Moores University Certificate. Before enrolling in BSc (Hons) Multimedia Computing, I took a multimedia & design course for Diploma In Creative Multimedia at YPC International College for about 2 years and 8 months.

Why I changed my study path?

During my diploma studies, I completed my 4 month internship under the position of intern graphic designer in Amorepacific Malaysia (Korea cosmetic company) - Etude House. I am very grateful to join them as a team during my internship period. It's very memorable and fun. Moreover, I gained a lot of experience during my internship. However, I realised that becoming a designer is not an easy job. A designer needs to archive the customers' satisfaction and it takes a lot of time-consuming to complete same goes for a developer.

The Reason

After completing my internship, I decided to change my main course, Diploma In Creative Multimedia, to an IT-related field - BSc (Hons) Multimedia Computing (BMC). In the 21st century, technology has become more advanced and I realise that I have the opportunity to gain more skills other than in the design field. I chose this course for my degree path because I am also interested in programming languages. Although, it is a massive challenge for me. The challenge of taking this course, I had to start it over by learning from the beginning, which would cost me another 3 years to finish my degree.

Strengths

1. Creative – Advocates aren’t exactly like everyone else – and that’s a wonderful thing. People with this personality type embrace their creative side, always on the lookout for opportunities to express themselves and think outside the box.

A Personal Mission
